In this programme, Robert Zend describes his five faces of McLaren and hands the microphone to Noel Moore, who is described as a Toronto filmmaker. I (Don McWilliams) can find no record of him; although it is indeed possible that I have misspelt his name. Moore discusses McLaren’s work with a brogue that may be Scots. He says that McLaren speaks directly to the subconscious with Sound, Image and Colour in animation. McLaren also did this with live action. The total effect of McLaren’s work is greater than the sum of the parts. He argues his points well. Norman McLaren discusses his GPO days. The quality of the McLaren recording is not good.
