Warren. “Useful to study in making more ballet films” rather underexposed Section A is essentially working out the “appearing, disappearing, uniting of the female dancer that one sees in the first section of the final film. Section B is early multplication tests Apinée and Warren – a bit cluttered. In the final film, McLaren attained more clarity of action, although some of the basic “steps” are in this test material. Irene Apinée was replaced by Margaret Mercier in the final film. I (Don McWilliams) have no idea of the reason.
