FI12809.018 Pas de deux. Can 5 Wally Howard (the optical cameraman) did a test which involved using filters and turning the black and white footage into colour (red, cyan and green filters (?)). McLaren created an atmosphere in which his colleagues feel free to experiment, then show him the results. McLaren was not interested because one of the central aspects of Pas de deux was the use of light and dark to create emotion.
